Ty Majeski (No. 60 Ford) tops the speed chart in the Final Practice session for the XFINITY Series Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

He ran a fast lap of 181.714 mph. No. 20 Christopher Bell, No. 21 Daniel Hemric, No. 18 Kyle Busch and No. 2 Matt Tifft round out the top-five of the 38 cars out on the track. The No. 79 Chevrolet, driven by Josh Reaume, was the slowest in the final practice session.

Kurt Busch was involved in an accident with Denny Hamlin on Lap 272 of the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway and was unable to continue in the race. He retired in 32nd.

Busch was gambling on old tires at the time while most of the field pitted, but that was not his undoing. Hamlin simply overdrove the corner and "cleaned him out," according to Busch. The king of consistency in 2018 was eliminated with a rare bad finish.

Chase Elliott was involved in a Lap 272 crash in the Can-Am 500k with Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin. He lost three laps making repairs and finished 23rd and failed to advance to the Championship 4.

Elliott entered the race with six top-10s in his last seven attempts and had enough momentum to seriously challenge the Big 3 for a spot in the finale. He was caught speeding in Stage 3 of the race and struggled to regain track position. That single mistake proved to be his undoing.
Nov 11 - 9:30 PM

Bubba Wallace scored his first top-10 since week seven of the 2018 season. He finished 10th in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway.

This was Wallace's third top-10 of the season on three different track types. He finished second on the plate track of Daytona in the opener, was seventh at Texas on a 1.5-miler, and now has a 10th on the short flat track of Phoenix.

With his ninth-place finish in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway, William Byron clinched 2018 Rookie of the Year honors.

This is the fourth consecutive year in which Byron won Rookie of the Year honors. He won in the K&N East series, Truck series, and Xfinity series in the last three years. Still, top-10s have been too infrequent this year for Byron to be a good fantasy value.
Nov 11 - 8:57 PM

Austin Dillon finished eighth in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway on the heels of a 10th at Texas Motor Speedway.

This is the first time in 2018 that Dillon has been able to back up one top-10 with another. Dillon has finished 17th or better in 10 of the last 14 races, however, to indicate that this team is making some steps in the right direction as they head into the off-season.
Nov 11 - 8:53 PM

Matt Kenseth finished seventh in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway for his first top-10 in 2018.

Kenseth won this race last year in his final fulltime season with Joe Gibbs Racing. In his part time tole with Jack Roush this year, he's shown promise but could not quite earn that elusive top-10. Mission accomplished and now he will go into likely retirement on a high note. Kenseth has another chance next week at Homestead.
Nov 11 - 8:47 PM

Jamie McMurray finished sixth in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway for his first top-10 on an oval during the playoffs.

McMurray was surprisingly strong for most of the race. He was able to hold the championship contenders at bay during the final stages and that made him one of the sleepers to earn major non-playoff driver points.
Nov 11 - 8:44 PM

Jeremy Clements (No. 51 Chevrolet) finished 17th in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Whelen Trusted To Perform 200 at ISM Raceway in Arizona.

He started 18th in the lineup and completed all laps of the 200 laps run. Clements, who entered all 32 NXS races so far this season, is currently 14th in the 2018 NXS driver point standings, three points behind 13th-placed Michael Annett after this event.
Nov 11 - 8:42 PM

John Hunter Nemechek (No. 42 Chevrolet) finished ninth in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Whelen Trusted To Perform 200 at ISM Raceway in Arizona.

He started on the pole, lead 33 laps and completed all laps of the 200 laps run. Nemechek, who entered 17 of the 32 NXS races so far this season, is 15th in the 2018 NXS driver point standings, seven points behind 14th-placed Jeremy Clements after this event.
Nov 11 - 8:41 PM

Kevin Harvick overcame a cut tire in the closing laps of Stage 1 to finish fifth in the Can-Am 500k at ISM Raceway.

Harvick dominated most of Stage 1, but his car was not quite the same after the flat tire. As disappointing as that might have been for players who counted on his to win, it was his 11th consecutive results of sixth or better on this track.
Nov 11 - 8:40 PM

Brett Moffitt (No. 16 Toyota Tundra) won Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Lucas Oil 150 at ISM Raceway in Arizona.

He started fifth in the lineup and led 19 laps. Since this was the elimination race for the NCWTS Round of 6, only the top-ranked four continue to the NCWTS Championship 4 round at Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend. The win guaranteed his spot at Homestead and Moffitt will continue competing for the series title.
