Natalie Decker, in her first attempt at Daytona, won the General Tire Pole for Saturday's Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

The Eagle River, Wisconsin rookie qualified with a top speed of 181.859 mph in her No. 25 Venturini Motorsports-prepared N29 Capital Partners Toyota. Her top speed came from the fourth group among the six groups that qualified. MDM Motorsports drivers Zane Smith (No. 41 LaPaz Margarita Mix Toyota) and Chase Purdy (No. 8 BAMA Buggies Toyota) were second and third in qualifying. Mason Mitchell Motorsports' Max Tullman (No. 78 Zoomi-Myota Chevrolet) was fourth. Decker's Venturini Motorsports teammate Leilani Munter was fifth fastest in the No. 20 Vegan Strong Toyota.

Austin Cindric (No. 12 Ford) finished 14th in Friday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Food City 300 at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway.

He started 17th in the lineup and completed 308 laps of the 310 laps run. Cindric, who entered all 22 NXS races so far this season, is currently ninth in the 2018 NXS driver point standings, 36 points behind eighth-placed Ryan Truex and 228 behind leader Christopher Bell after this event.

He started fifth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 310 laps run. Tifft, who entered all 22 NXS races so far this season, is 10th in the 2018 NXS driver point standings, two points behind ninth-placed Austin Cindric and 230 behind leader Christopher Bell after this event.

Gus Dean (No. 32 Chevrolet) started off celebrating his 24th birthday by winning his second consecutive ARCA Racing Series General Tire Pole Award.

He set the fast lap in qualifying for this afternoon's Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fair at 106.396 miles per hour. Zane Smith (No. 41 Toyota) will start alongside on the front row after turning a lap of 106.386, just 0.003 seconds off Dean's pole winning pace. Chase Purdy (No. 8 Toyota) was third at 106.223, Logan Seavey (No. 20 Toyota) was fourth at 105.982 and Sheldon Creed (No. 28 Toyota) rounded out the top five at 105.423.

Donald Chisholm set the fastest lap during practice for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Bumper to Bumper 300 at Riverside International Speedway.

Chisholm’s No. 89 Keltic Ford/Nova Construction Ford set a blazing time of 14.526 seconds (82.528 mph) around the .333 mile oval to claim the top spot. The 42-year-old driver from Antigonish, Nova Scotia won the 2014 event at Riverside and looks to add another Pinty’s Series win to his already impressive resume. Points leader LP Dumoulin finished the 30-minute session with the second quickest time of 14.632 (81.930 mph).

Sheldon Creed (No. 28 United Rentals Toyota) arrived after practice started, but that didn't impede his progress as he led the only practice session of the day for this afternoon's ARCA Racing Allen Crowe 100.

His connecting flight in Dallas was canceled last night due to storms, so he hopped in a rental car and made the eleven-hour drive and arrived in Springfield about 15 minutes after practice started. His fast lap of 33.112 seconds/108.722 miles per hour topped Logan Seavey (No. 20 Craftsman Toyota), Chase Purdy (No. 8 Bama Buggies Toyota), Zane Smith (No. 41 LaPaz Margarita Mix/ICON Vehicle Dynamics Toyota) and Riley Herbst (No. 18 NOS/ORCA/Advance Auto Toyota).

Kyle Busch brought out an early caution when he crashed on Lap 2 of the Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. He battled back onto the lead lap and ran as high as second before sustaining damage a final time on lap 481. He last three laps with that incident and finished 20th.

Both incidents were unforced errors. Busch also pushed up into Martin Truex Jr. late in the race. Could this be the first sign of weakness from one of the Big 3? Only time will tell.

Kevin Harvick was forced to make an unscheduled pit stop on lap 185 of the Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway while battling for a top five position. He lost two laps, but recovered to finish 10th.

As disappointing as that was for his fantasy owners, he was the only member of the top Big 3 to score a top-10. Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. both sustained crash damage and finished 20th and 30th respectively.

Jimmie Johnson finished 9th in the Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway after being handicapped sixth in the pre-race cheat sheets.

Johnson had a car capable of challenging for a top-five, but contact with Kyle Busch and Chris Buescher in the closing laps caused him to make an extra pit stop. He battled back to finish well on a track that has traditionally been very kind.

Alex Bowman finished eighth in the Night Race of Bristol Motor Speedway to earn his third top-10 in four short track races this season.

Hendrick Motorsports is finally turning their season around on tracks that are not aero-sensitive. Bowman should be watched closely two weeks from now when the series rolls into Darlington Raceway.
