Coming off a third-place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings last season, 19-year-old Austin Cindric will race for the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) title in 2018, competing in all 33 series events this season with two different winning organizations.

He will open the 2018 season racing the No. 60 PIRTEK Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing at Daytona Int'l Speedway on February 17. As previously announced, Cindric will compete in a total of nine events for Roush Fenway, including four of the first five races on the NXS schedule. In addition, Cindric will drive either the No. 12 or the No. 22 Ford Mustang for Team Penske in the remaining 24 races, including the four Dash for Cash events at Bristol, Richmond, Talladega and Dover. During the events that Cindric will race the No. 12 Ford Mustang for Team Penske – the first of which is scheduled to be on February 24 at Atlanta Motor Speedway – he will work with the team’s new crew chief Matt Swiderski.-Team Penske

He started third in the lineup, led 34 laps and completed all laps of the 134-lap race. Gragson closed out the season second in the 2018 NCWTS championship point standings, six points behind 2018 NCWTS Champion Brett Moffitt.

For the first time since his 2006 rookie season, Denny Hamlin failed to win a race on the Cup circuit.

Hamlin finished second twice this season. Both of those came in the final races of the season at Dover and Martinsville during the playoffs. Hamlin was able to score eight top-fives, which made him eighth-best in that regard.

Jimmie Johnson did not have the type of season he wanted in 2018, but he ended the year with four consecutive top-15s to gather a little momentum for next season.

Johnson earned four consecutive top-15s only three times during the season. He was never able to string five such finishes together and that kept him from being a good value. For the first time since his rookie season, he went winless.

With 26, Joey Logano had the third-best record of top-10s in 2018 behind Kevin Harvick (29) and Kyle Busch (28).

Logano's consistency kept him in the hunt for the championship until the playoffs began, but he did not win enough races in the regular season to make him one of the favorites. He was also lacking somewhat in top-fives with 13.
