Jean Segura was voted onto the 2018 American League All-Star roster by winning the Final Vote.

Segura beat out Red Sox OF Andrew Benintendi (who finished second), Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton, Twins OF Eddie Rosario, and Angels SS Andrelton Simmons. Segura was a surprise snub from the All-Star selection on Sunday despite hitting .329 with seven homers, 47 RBI, and 14 steals over his first 85 games. Don't be surprised if one or more of the players listed above get added to the roster for various reasons before the game takes place on Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
Jul 11 - 8:26 PM

Trevor Story (elbow) is back in the Rockies' lineup Monday.

Story's right elbow still isn't 100 percent, but he said Monday that "we're full throttle now." He admitted that he might have to resort to bouncing throws from shortstop if regular overhand throws cause too much pain. Story missed the previous five games.
Sep 24 - 4:58 PM

Christian Yelich (elbow) is in the Brewers' lineup Monday.

Yelich exited Sunday's game versus the Pirates after being hit by pitch on his right elbow. He was set to be re-evaluated Monday and evidently is feeling fine. The National League MVP candidate is in right field and batting second versus Jack Flaherty and the Cardinals.
Sep 24 - 4:51 PM

Didi Gregorius reported improvement with his ailing right wrist Monday and said he thinks he'll play before the end of the regular season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Gregorius wasn't a given to return this season after suffering cartilage damage in the wrist on a slide Saturday. However, Gregorius said he's a lot less sore Monday, calling it "a big step" forward. It's certainly encouraging to hear, but for fantasy purposes Gregorius can't be counted on this week.
Sep 24 - 4:40 PM

Astros activated RHP Lance McCullers from the 10-day disabled list.

McCullers has been on the shelf since early August with a forearm strain but has been throwing off a mound for a couple weeks with no issues. He will work in relief during the final week of the regular season and the postseason, perhaps in a multi-inning role.
Sep 24 - 4:13 PM

George Springer (leg, thumb) is back in the Astros' lineup Monday.

Springer sat out Sunday with leg and thumb injuries. He's battled a variety of ailments over the last month but is feeling well enough to give it a go Monday.
Sep 24 - 4:11 PM

Paul Goldschmidt is not in Monday's lineup against the Dodgers.

With the Diamondbacks eliminated, Goldschmidt will get a breather with Clayton Kershaw on the hill for Los Angeles. Christian Walker will start at first base and bat cleanup.
Sep 24 - 3:53 PM

Kris Bryant (shoulder) will hit sixth in Monday's game against the Pirates.

It will be the lowest he's hit in the lineup in a start in his major league career. Bryant has a .752 OPS with one homer and a 27/6 K/BB ratio in 20 games since returning from the disabled list. Cubs manager Joe Maddon held Bryant out of the lineup on Sunday while mentioning that his shoulder is "a little bit fatigued." The situation warrants watching.
Sep 24 - 3:40 PM

Adam Eaton (knee) is in Monday's lineup against the Marlins.

Eaton has been limited in recent days due to soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee, but he's going to try to give it a go following a pinch-hit appearance on Sunday. Meanwhile, Victor Robles will be on the bench for this one.
Sep 24 - 3:20 PM

Carlos Correa (back) remains out of the Astros' lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.

Correa hasn't played since last Tuesday due to a lingering back issue. The Astros don't want to take any chances with the playoffs approaching, so fantasy owners need a backup plan this week. Alex Bregman will make another start at shortstop while J.D. Davis plays third.
Sep 24 - 3:18 PM

Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) is in Monday's lineup against the Orioles.

Bogaerts left Sunday's game for precautionary reasons due to left shoulder soreness, but it's obviously a good sign that he feels well enough to play already. He's hitting cleanup against right-hander Dylan Bundy.
Sep 24 - 3:12 PM

Aaron Hicks (ankle) is in Monday's lineup against the Rays.

Hicks fouled a ball off his ankle during Saturday's game, but he's feeling a lot better. He should be good to go moving forward.
