Notre Dame redshirt junior QB Brandon Wimbush is expected to start on Saturday against Florida State with redshirt sophomore Ian Book (ribs) out.

Book will miss the game with a rib injury he suffered in last Saturday's win over Northwestern. Wimbush started the first three games of the 2018 season but was yanked for Book, a decision that has paid off handsomely for the Irish. Wimbush is 12-4 over 16 starts, but his limitations as a passer put a ceiling on the offense. This season, he's completing only 55.3% of his passes for 589 yards and a 1/4 TD/INT ratio. That's actually an improvement on his career completion percentage, which now stands at 50.8%.

Transferring Clemson senior QB Kelly Bryant will announce his new school on December 4.

That will be a little under two weeks after Bryant makes his final official visit to Miami November 23-25. He's also taken visits to Arkansas, Missouri, UNC, and he's visiting Mississippi State on Saturday. The former Clemson starter has also unofficially visited Auburn. Wherever Bryant goes is getting a starter who took Clemson to the playoffs in 2017 and had the Tigers undefeated before making the switch to Trevor Lawrence. Long story short, this will be one of -- if not the -- biggest transfers of the year.

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports reports that there is mutual interest between Arizona State and former Sun Devils HC Todd Graham.

Well that's interesting. Graham had success with the Sun Devils; posting back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2013-14 and a 46-31 record in his time with the school. The 52-year-old has also built up a reputation of being difficult to deal with, and he left Arizona State after a 7-5 season that features its share of turmoil. Add Graham to Les Miles, Dan Enos and a handful of others who are considered candidates, but Miles is still considered the favorite at this point.

Oklahoma State junior RB Justice Hill (ribs) has been cleared to play on Saturday against West Virginia.

According to head coach Mike Gundy, Hill underwent a CAT scan and x-rays, and there was no structural damage. Hill was forced to leave the high-scoring loss to Oklahoma last Saturday. Chuba Hubbard could be in for more carries against the Mountaineers to keep Hill fresh, but the talented junior should be ready to roll for the game against West Virginia.

Florida State HC Willie Taggart declared redshirt junior QB Deondre Francois the starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

"He's not the issue with our football team," Taggart said. We tend to agree with Taggart. But there's also more going on here than meets the eye. True sophomore James Blackman has only appeared in four games this season and is eligible for a redshirt if he doesn't play in another game this season. Expect Francois and Blackman to engage in another quarterback derby next summer.

Iowa State will not to appeal junior RB David Montgomery's suspension for the first half of Saturday's game against Texas.

Montgomery was ejected in the third quarter of Saturday's win over Baylor following a skirmish with Bears DE Greg Roberts. That fight will cost Montgomery the first two quarters of this weekend's tilt with the Longhorns. Kene Nwangwu will likely start against Texas.

Indiana HC Tom Allen says sophomore WR Whop Philyor (ankle) is uncertain to return this season.

Philyor is suffering from not only the high-ankle sprain that we already knew about, but, per Allen, also a separate, unrelated injury. Philyor (5'11/180) originally suffered the injury in late September against Michigan State, a game in which he went off for a 13-148-1 line. Since then, he's played in only parts of two games.

Duke junior S Dylan Singleton has been ruled out indefinitely with a broken left ankle.

Singleton underwent surgery on Sunday. He suffered the injury in Saturday's 42-35 victory over North Carolina. Singleton becomes the 15th Duke player with starting experience to miss at least one game this season due to injury.

Temple senior RB Ryquell Armstead was named the Walter Camp Player of the Week for his performance against Houston.

Armstead (5'11/215) rushed for six touchdowns and 210 yards on 30 carries to lead the Owls to a huge win over D'Eriq King and the Houston Cougars, 59-49. There was no stopping the senior back, who doubled his season rushing touchdown total in the game. According to College Sports Reference's database, this was just the 17th time a player rushed for at least six touchdowns in a game.

Tennessee redshirt junior DE Darrell Taylor was named the Walter Camp Player of the Week for his performance against Kentucky.

Taylor (6'4/247) made six sacks, which is just the third time a Tennessee player has ever done so, and six tackles. The Volunteers held stud running back Benny Snell to just 81 rushing yards on 20 carries, while holding the passing offense to just 185 yards. The redshirt junior was the main piece to limiting Kentucky's offense to seven points, so this is well deserved.

Clemson redshirt junior edge rusher Clelin Ferrell went No. 2 overall to the Oakland Raiders in Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline's latest mock draft.

Ferrell (6'4/265) is shaping up as a top-10 player, and the fit with the Raiders is an obvious fit. HC Jon Gruden traded away Khalil Mack for draft picks, and Ferrell could be the first pick to replace Mack's elite production on the edge. Ferrell has 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 13 tackles for loss in 10 non-full games. In the same mock draft, EDGE Nick Bosa goes first to the Giants.
Nov 11 - 3:12 PM

Toledo junior QB Mitchell Guadagni (shoulder) is likely out for the season.

Guadagni's shoulder ailment isn't improving, so Toledo will roll with backup QB Eli Peters for the remainder of the season. Peters has averaged 6.9 yards per pass attempt on the season with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. Guadagni finishes his junior season with a solid 8.8 YPA and 13/3 TD/INT ratio on his 120 pass attempts along with 428 rushing yards (5.6 YPC) and three rushing touchdowns.
