Transferring Clemson senior QB Kelly Bryant will visit Arkansas.

Bryant (6'3/225) will be checking out HC Chad Morris' program on the weekend of Oct. 20, when the Razorbacks play host to Tulsa. First up on the visitation schedule will be UNC, though, with the senior signal-caller visiting this weekend for the team's showdown with Virginia Tech. Beyond North Carolina and Arkansas, Bryant is also looking to visit Louisville and Missouri, though he's not yet set official dates with either program. Both would make sense as transfer destinations, with the former quarterbacks room currently in a state of uncertainty and the latter to be vacated by the draft-eligible Drew Lock after season's end. Bryant is currently taking graduate courses at Clemson and plans on enrolling at his future program-to-be in January.

Boston College HC Steve Addazio says sophomore RB A.J. Dillon (ankle) is on course to return Friday against Miami.

Tremendous news for Boston College, as Dillon has returned to practice and is trending towards a triumphant return in a big spot against the Hurricanes. Dillon has been out since suffering the injury in the Sept. 29 game against Temple.

LSU Senior Associate Athletic Director Robert Munson announced that junior LB Devin White's half-game suspension against Alabama will stand.

White was ejected in the second half of Saturday’s victory over Mississippi State after being flagged for a (everyone agrees on this) ticky-tack targeting penalty on MSU QB Nick Fitzgerald. Since the penalty came after halftime, White was automatically suspended for the first half of the following game. Unfortunately for LSU, that meant the first two quarters of next Saturday’s game against Alabama. LSU AD Joe Alleva spoke with SEC officials in an attempt to get the suspension overturned to no effect. "Discussions with the SEC made clear there is no process for appeal," Munson said. "The suspension will stand." White, a potential Top-10 NFL Draft pick who has 76 tackles and 7.5 TFL, will likely be replaced in the first half against Bama by sophomore Patrick Queen.

Ohio State sophomore WR Austin Mack underwent foot surgery on Tuesday and is out indefinitely.

Mack suffered the left foot injury in Saturday's 49-20 loss to Purdue. Mack had been working to a nice little 26-331-1 line this year. Binjimen Victor is listed as Mack's backup on the depth chart and is a natural candidate to see an increase in field time and targets going forward.

Clemson redshirt senior K Greg Huegel's appeal for a sixth season of eligibility has been denied by the NCAA.

It was worth a shot. In 2014, Huegel was a freshman student at Clemson -- not a football payer. He walked on to the Tigers football team a year later. Huegel also tore his ACL last September. A confluence of the two lost seasons gave his appeal some validity, but the NCAA, as is their wont, failed to see it his way. TigerNet.com reported that that the NCAA "ruled that his freshman year he was eligible to kick even though he wasn’t on the team." Huegel was knocked out for the season late last September after tearing his ACL.

Michigan State senior WR Felton Davis III will undergo season-ending Achilles tendon surgery on Friday.

Davis suffered the injury in Saturday's loss to Michigan and was carted off the field. He'll next turn his attention to rehab, and then preparations for the 2019 NFL Draft. "Felton has got an Achilles tear, so he's out for the season, obviously, but he'll bounce back and have a successful pro career," HC Mark Dantonio said. "We've had quite a few injuries to wide receivers this year, but you gotta deal with it. That's part of the game. Nobody is crying." Prior to the season, Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline stamped Davis with a fifth-round grade.

Minnesota HC P.J. Fleck said Monday that he's unsure if freshman QB Zack Annexstad (midsection) will play against Indiana on Friday.

Annexstad, whose mobility has been compromised since injuring his left ankle Sept. 15 against Miami (Ohio), suffered an internal midsection injury in the second quarter of Saturday's loss to Nebraska. He was briefly hospitalized but was able to travel with the team back to Minneapolis. "I can’t give you a percentage just yet [of Annexstad’s chances of playing]," Fleck said. "It’s only a day-and-a-half after the game, so for us to say exactly what’s going to happen, I’d be guessing." If Annexstad can’t go, the Gophers will roll with redshirt freshman Tanner Morgan. Morgan was widely expected to win the job out of camp.

Football Scoop reports that there is growing "friction" within the Ohio State football program.

Football Scoop notes that much of the friction involves HC Urban Meyer and Athletic Director Gene Smith, and that there's a "a tension that hasn’t been present in previous years." Some of this assuredly has to do with the handling of the Zach Smith firing/the suspension of Meyer for the first three games of the season. This is a situation that could fester for the remainder of the season for the Buckeyes. Stay tuned.

USC freshman QB J.T. Daniel has reportedly passed the initial stage of the concussion protocol and is expected to play on Saturday against Arizona State.

This is obviously terrific news for the Trojans and Daniels; who exited Saturday's loss to Utah after taking a hit late in the third quarter. The Trojans will obviously be very careful with the talented freshman, but assuming there are no setbacks and Daniels continues to pass the protocol tests, he should be a go for Saturday against the Sun Devils.

Houston junior DT Ed Oliver (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against USF.

This is a huge game coming up for the Cougars -- both teams are undefeated in conference play and are in the same division -- and the loss of Oliver would obviously be massive. Reports say that the 6-foot-3, 293-pound defensive stalwart will be monitored throughout the week. Keep in mind that Oliver has already publicly declared for the NFL Draft. We'll be sure and update you throughout the week with updates on Oliver's status.

TCU redshirt sophomore QB Michael Collins will take over as the starter following Shawn Robinson's season-ending shoulder injury.

The Penn transfer went 7-of-17 for 142 yards, two touchdowns and an interception off the bench in Saturday's 52-27 loss to Oklahoma. TCU's passing offense has been awful this year -- No. 99 S&P+ -- and the hope is that the 6-foot-5, 214-pound signal-caller will help the Frogs improve their aerial efficiency. Collins had better start quickly, as the Frogs (3-4) likely need to beat both Kansas and Kansas State to qualify for a bowl game.

TCU sophomore QB Shawn Robinson is scheduled to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.

Robinson suffered through some nagging injuries this year, most notably to his shoulder. To his credit, he tried to play through it, but Robinson ended up suffering what turned out to be a significant injury near the end of the loss against Iowa State. He required help to leave the field and trainers stabilized his left arm. It was a trying campaign for Robinson, as he threw for 1,334 yards with a 9/8 TD/INT ratio while struggling with turnovers and poor decision-making. The book hasn't been written on him yet, though. Robinson has a wealth of skill in need of polish.
