Iowa HC Kirk Ferentz said that he does not think that sophomore RB Ivory Kelly-Martin (ankle) will be available for Saturday's game against Northern Iowa.

Ferentz did note that Kelly-Martin has been making progress in practice, but the 5-foot-11, 200-pounder remains a long shot to play on Saturday nonetheless. The sophomore initially sustained the ankle injury in the team's season-opening win over Northern Illinois and did not suit up for last weekend's win over Iowa State. Given the opponent here -- and the opponent upcoming after that in Wisconsin -- this is as reasonable a spot as Ferentz will have to rest his banged up guys short of an outright bye week. Look for Toren Young and Mekhi Sargent to receive the bulk of carries on Saturday barring a late change in Kelly-Martin's status.

Arkansas senior cornerback Ryan Pulley has been suspended for Friday's game against Missouri.

Pulley and starting safety Kamren Purl have been suspended for "conduct that isn't acceptable" according to Arkansas head coach Chad Morris. Both were seen socializing and taking pictures with members of the Mississippi State dance team during Arkansas's loss to the Bulldogs on Saturday. Pulley has started nine games this year, and redshirt freshman Montaric Brown will likely start in his place.

Washington received a verbal commitment from four-star 2019 DT Faatui Tuitele.

Tuitele (6'4/299) is a considerable get for Washington, as he picks the Huskies over a top five that also had Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama and Texas. He's ranked the 40th best player on ESPN's top 300, and the fourth best defensive tackle. He joins highly-recruited DT Jacob Bandes as four-star DT commits, as the Huskies will be losing Greg Gaines and a few other interior players. Washington's class now ranks 17th on 247 Sports list, with several other high-profile players still in play for Chris Petersen and company.

Syracuse senior QB Eric Dungey and redshirt freshman QB Tommy DeVito are listed as the top of the depth chart for Saturday's game against Boston College.

Dungey left Saturday's game against Notre Dame with a lower back injury, and DeVito replaced him in the first quarter. Unfortunately for Syracuse, DeVito was awful and the Orange were unable to get nothing going in the 36-3 loss. If Dungey can go, the senior should get the start, but it sounds like we won't know his status until later in the week -- at the earliest.

Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh says senior DE Chase Winovich's (shoulder/head/neck) status for Saturday against Ohio State is currently unknown.

Harbaugh said Monday that Winovich will continue to be evaluated every day this week. Winovich left Saturday's win over Indiana with what appeared to be an injury in the shoulder/head/neck area. Michigan hasn't disclosed much, so we can't provide more information than that.

Ohio State redshirt junior RB Mike Weber (quadriceps) was cleared to play against Michigan this weekend.

Weber did not play in last week's win over Maryland despite being in uniform after he suffered a quadriceps injury late in the week. Weber will spell J.K. Dobbins in this weekend's crucial game against Michigan.

Texas sophomore QB Sam Ehlinger suffered an AC contusion in his throwing shoulder in Saturday's 24-10 win over Iowa State.

An MRI on Sunday revealed no structural damage in Ehlinger's shoulder. According to HC Tom Herman, it was mere "re-aggravation" of the injury Ehlinger first suffered against Baylor. "No broken bones. No separation. No ridiculous amount of damage," Herman said. "But it's angry. It's upset. The joint, the shoulder is inflamed." Ehlinger will not throw Monday, per Herman, but is expected to do so on Tuesday. The Longhorns close out the regular season at Kansas on Friday.

FootballScoop reports that William & Mary will hire Howard HC Mike London to the same position.

William & Mary HC Jimmye Laycock is heading into retirement after 39 seasons as head coach. London is the former coach of Richmond and Virginia. He had his best success at Richmond, going 24-5 mark in two seasons and winning the FCS national championship in 2008. After a failed six-year stint at Virginia, London eventually wound up at Howard, where he went 11-10 over two seasons. He has deep recruiting roots in the state of Virginia.

Virginia Tech announced Sunday that it has agreed to potentially host a game at Lane Stadium against Marshall on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The key word being "potentially." This is the first regular season college football scheduling contingency we can remember seeing, but here goes: VT and Marshall will play on Dec. 1 in Blacksburg, but only if Virginia Tech beats Virginia this weekend to improve to 5-6. That would open up the possibility of winning a sixth game to go bowling. If Virginia Tech loses on Friday to fall to 4-7, officially eliminating the Hokies from the postseason, then the game against Marshall will not take place. Each of these teams had a game canceled on Sept. 15 due to hurricane conditions. Virginia Tech was originally scheduled to host East Carolina that day, while Marshall was slated to play at South Carolina. If VT beats UVA and then Marshall, the Hokies will extend their 25-year bowl streak.

Miami coach Mark Richt said freshman TE Brevin Jordan (ankle) will not be available for next week's game against Pittsburgh.

Neither will TE Will Mallory (knee), but Richt is optimistic that both will be ready for a bowl game. Jordan's absence is significant, as he is currently second on the team in receptions (30) and receiving touchdowns (4). Losing both Jordan and Mallory will really test Miami's tight end depth, but the team may put more onto the receivers' plates instead.

Charlotte has fired HC Brad Lambert.

Lambert will stick around for the season finale against Florida Atlantic, but Charlotte will begin their head coaching search immediately. Under Lambert's leadership, the 49ers have had losing seasons in 6-of-6 years, including this year's 4-7 record. Many analysts were surprised Lambert survived this past offseason after going 1-11 in 2017, but the university will finally move on at the season's end. Lambert is 21-48 overall.

Texas State has named defensive coordinator Chris Woods as the interim head coach.

The Bobcats have moved on from head coach Everett Withers, so Woods will serve as the team leader for the season finale against Arkansas State. Texas State hired Woods as the defensive coordinator last February after serving as a defensive specialist at Oklahoma. The Bobcats' defense has improved from last season under Woods' leadership. Last year, the defense allowed 33.6 points per game, but that number is down to 27.2 points in 2018. The search for the long-term head coach has begun.
