Multiple outlets are reporting that former Florida HC Jim McElwain has interviewed for a position at Michigan.

Additionally, it appears that former LSU OC Cam Cameron has also applied for the spot vacated when Dan Enos turned tail on the Wolverines in favor of Alabama in late January. McElwain was fired by Florida in late October. He posted a 22-14 record in his two-plus years with the Gators. While his offenses in Gainesville left much to be desired, he should not be considered a lost cause. We think he would be a sharp fit with the Wolverines, a team desperate for a boost on the offensive side of the ball.

UCLA freshman QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (undisclosed) completed 5-of-8 passes for 103 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 31-30 win against Arizona, but he exited with an undisclosed injury.

HC Chip Kelly said after the game that he didn't know what Thompson-Robinson's injury was but that he wasn't available in the second half. Opening game starter Wilson Speight took the reins and led the Bruins to the one-point win, their second consecutive successful weekend after an 0-5 start. It's uncertain who will be Kelly's starting signal caller on Friday night when Utah pays a visit.

Utah junior QB Tyler Huntley completed 22-of-29 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 41-24 win over USC.

The 341 passing yards and four passing touchdown tied career highs. Huntley also ran for 33 yards and a touchdown to put the cherry on top of a great performance where he averaged 11.75 yards per pass attempt. The Trojans had zero answers defensively, and the game was essentially over when J.T. Daniels (concussion) left the game. Utah now moves into first place in the PAC 12 South, but they need to take care of business against UCLA next week to keep it that way.
Oct 21 - 12:05 AM

Washington State senior QB Gardner Minshew completed 39-of-51 passes for 323 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday's 34-20 win over Oregon.

The day in Pullman began in raucous fashion with College Gameday and it ended with Minshew playing up to the moment. Outside of a somewhat wobbly third quarter, he and his Cougar teammates were locked in throughout. He capped the game off with a 22-yard touchdown pass down the middle to Dezmon Patmon with just under four minutes remaining to put Wazzu up by 14 points, essentially icing any chance of a comeback barring strange happening. Minshew has now thrown at least three touchdown passes in every game this season save for one. The Cougars will look to improve to 7-1 on the campaign when they play Stanford next weekend.
Oct 20 - 11:59 PM

Purdue redshirt senior RB D.J. Knox ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries in a 49-20 crushing of Ohio State on Saturday.

Knox (5'7/210) has been sensational as of late, and he followed his 150 yard effort against Illinois with one of his best efforts against the No.2 team in the country. The three touchdowns give him eight on the season, and five in the last three games for the senior. Knox will face one of the toughest run defenses in the country in Michigan State, but the way the Boilermakers are playing, they have a great chance of moving the ball again next Saturday.
Oct 20 - 11:32 PM

Purdue freshman WR Rondale Moore caught 12 passes for 170 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 24 yards in a 49-20 blowout upset victory over Ohio State on Saturday.

Wow. Moore put on a show on Saturday, showing that he's capable of competing -- and beating -- the very best. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound wideout turned several short catches into long plays, and he has his third double-digit catch game of his career already. This is a star, folks. Plain and simple. Moore will have a chance to continue his impressive freshman campaign next Saturday against Michigan State.
Oct 20 - 11:26 PM

UCF redshirt freshman QB Darriel Mack completed 12-of-20 passes for 111 yards and ran for 120 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in a 37-10 victory over East Carolina on Saturday.

Mack was making the start in place of an injured McKenzie Milton, and while he did not make anyone say "McKenzie who?," it was good enough. Mack was especially effective on the ground, and he kept several drives going by churning out yardage. It's not believed that the Milton injury is serious, but if the Knights hold him out again, Mack will get the start against Temple on November 1.
Oct 20 - 10:33 PM

Mississippi State sophomore RB Kylin Hill is currently out of Saturday's game at LSU due to an apparent leg injury.

The specifics regarding Hill's injury are unknown at this time, but the fact that he's in pads but no longer has his helmet is not a good sign. Mississippi State's best running back, the sophomore rushed for 42 yards on eight carries prior to his departure. Should Hill not be able to return Aeris Williams will continue to play, but the absence also places even more responsibility in the run game upon the shoulders of QB Nick Fitzgerald.
Oct 20 - 9:29 PM

Minnesota freshman QB Zack Annexstad, who left Saturday's game at Nebraska due to an injury to his midsection, has been released from a Lincoln hospital and is traveling back to Minnesota with the team.

Minnesota HC P.J. Fleck said after the game that trainers began to notice an issue with Annexstad late in the first half, and the decision was ultimately made to take him to the hospital. "He was coughing a lot and our trainers did a great job of jumping into action," Fleck said after the game. It remains to be seen whether or not the freshman will be available for Minnesota's next game, October 26 against Indiana.
Oct 20 - 9:16 PM

Syracuse HC Dino Babers said after Saturday's win over North Carolina that his benching of senior QB Eric Dungey was "by no means . . . a permanent change."

Babers turned to redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito with just over five minutes remaining in what would evolve into a double-overtime win. DeVito went on to complete 11-of-19 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns in his emergency relief. After the game, Babers said that the team "needed a little spark." While he's being understandably cagey, DeVito played so well -- and offers the upside as a passer that Dungey does not -- that we would be somewhat surprised if Babers does not give him a starting shot against NC State next weekend. Stay tuned.
Oct 20 - 9:00 PM

UCF junior QB McKenzie Milton (shoulder/ankle) is not expected to play in Saturday's game at East Carolina unless needed.

Milton is in uniform, but UCF never announced the reason as to why he did not make the start. Apparently the junior passer is dealing with shoulder and ankle issues, the latter of which became an issue during UCF's October 13 win over Memphis. With Milton on the bench redshirt freshman Darriel Mack Jr. received the starting nod, and he's seemed to have found his groove after a shaky start.
Oct 20 - 8:30 PM

Following Saturday's win at Tennessee, Alabama HC Nick Saban said that sophomore QB Tua Tagovailoa (knee) could have returned to the game if needed.

Tagovailoa left Saturday's game in the second half due to the knee issue, but as was the case in the Crimson Tide's October 13 win over Missouri the game was well in hand by that point. Tagovailoa will now have some extra time to rest, as Alabama's next game isn't until November 3 at LSU. And if there are any lingering issues for the sophomore Heisman Trophy candidate, Alabama can always turn to junior Jalen Hurts.
