Bournemoth's Lewis Cook has suffered a massive blow after being ruled out for six to nine months with a knee injury.

The 21-year old England international suffered the injury during Tuesday night's 2-1 victory over Huddersfield, though he played all 90 minutes. "I'm devastated with my injury but this is just a bump in the road. I'll be back stronger and better. The hard work starts now," said Cook, whilst Eddie Howe expressed his and the club's devastation for the player. Dan Gosling should be in pole position to partner Jefferson Lerma consistently in Cook's absence.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had the benefit of a man advantage for a large portion of the match, but it took four minutes into second half stoppage time to find a winner, as they defeated Newcastle United, 1-2.

It was a very entertaining affair from start to finish, as Wolves came in this evening with a couple of key starters getting rested in Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho. After both sides stated early intent of threatening to score, Wolves went ahead in the 17th minute as Diogo Jota scored for the second time in as many games, as he chested a Heider Costa cross before beating the helpless keeper. Newcastle would get a deserved equalizer but a red card shown to DeAndre Yedlin early in the second half gave Wolves license to control the match and, after much patience, scored at the death when Jota sprinted into a shooting position, but his blocked attempt was followed up by a Matt Doherty header.

Newcastle United were down to ten men early in the second half and saw their attempt to salvage a result come up short in the dying moments of the match as they suffer a bitter 1-2 loss to Wolves.

Both sides were up for this one and the Newcastle supporters fed into a very lively, competitive match. The two sides would trade blows for the entire first half. Wolves went ahead first, on what had to be considered rather poor defending on the part of Jamal Lascelles but the Magpies were not phased, as they were able to level only six minutes later. Rondon had a free kick smash off the bar and the attempted clearance came back to him, so he then crossed it into the box where Ayoze Perez executed a smart header. The second half was a different story. Eight minutes after the restart, DeAndre Yedlin would fumble the ball deep in his own end, forcing a tackle on Diogo Jota that saw an immediate straight red card. Newcastle were under the gun from then on, but kept Wolves contained while getting a couple of cracks with a man down. A draw looked in the cards but Wolves would break hearts late, as Martin Dubravka's fine shift could not withstand the opponent's final charge.

Heung-Min Son scored the opener and assisted on the second as Spurs beat Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to close out Saturday's Premier League action.

Son followed a similar arc last season. He was nearly a non-factor to for the first three months of the season but, from there, caught fire and was one of the most productive midfielders in the Prem from mid-November on. His rise this season has started over the past couple of weeks and if it continues then managers should look to bring him or trade for him before his value goes too high.

With Jamie Vardy out injured the Foxes struggled to keep up with visiting Spurs who beat Leicester City 2-0.

The Foxes had more shots and more shots on target than their visitors but Spurs scored on both of their shots on target and cruised to a victory to put them back into 3rd place. With Jamie Vardy out, the Foxes were without their biggest goal threat and they missed their talisman badly. If Vardy can't shake the groin injury that has had him in and out of the line-up then look for results to suffer until he is back.

City came into this one undefeated and Chelsea made adjustments to secure the 2-0 win. Goals from N’golo Kante and David Luiz gave the Blues their final advantage

Both managers made bold decisions dropping their strikers in favor of false nines in this match but it was the midfields that made a difference. N’Golo Kante, who’s been playing in an unfamiliar position as a box to box midfielder looked like a natural netting his second goal of the season. Setup by Eden Hazard, it was just the dagger that Chelsea needed before half, after allowing Manchester City to control 62 percent of possession. Heading into the second half, City turned up the pressure after taking off Leroy Sane for Gabriel Jesus but Chelsea held their shape well. Kovacic had to be taken off for Ross Barkley after picking up a knock in the 63rd minute. It’s unknown if he’ll miss time but the injury didn’t look serious. In the 78th minute, after winning a corner, Eden Hazard picked up his second assist of the game after finding David Luiz’s head in the box. It put the game at 2-0 and ensured that Liverpool will end the weekend in first place in the Premier League.

Burnley secured a much-needed three points in a 1-0 win over Brighton during a rain-soaked afternoon at the Turf Moor.

Games in the area were being cancelled due to the rain, but Burnley powered through thanks to a James Tarkowski goal in the 39th-minute that turned out to be a match-winner. A scramble in the box ensued after goalkeeper Mat Ryan punched away a cross into the penalty area, but Jack Cork found Tarkowski in space away from goal and the defender silenced his effort into the back of the net. Not only did the Clarets secure a clean sheet, but Sean Dyche can breathe a massive sigh of relief after leaving the bottom three.

Crystal Palace got the early lead but was unable to hold on as the gap gets smaller between them and the relegation zone after a 3-2 loss to West Ham United.

James McArthur combined with James Tomkins for his second goal in two games giving Palace the lead only six minutes in. Palace fought and had a good chance to make it 2-0 when Luka Milivojevic rattled his free-kick off of the bar in stoppage time during the first half prior to Robert Snodgrass bringing things level. That would prove to make the second half much more exciting, however. Andy Carroll entered for West Ham and Jeffrey Schlupp would have to enter for Patrick van Aanholt who went off with a shoulder injury. West Ham would then net two more from Anderson and Chicharito that would put the game out of reach. Schlupp would pull one back late but it didn’t end up being enough. To make matters worse, Crystal Palace will be without Wilfred Zaha in their next game as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the waning moments of the match.

Manchester United comfortably beat Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday on a 4-1 scoreline.

United took a 2-0 first half lead for the first time since March through Ashley Young and Juan Mata, with both goals assisted by Marcus Rashford. In the second half, Romelu Lukaku ended his goal drought at Old Trafford before Fulham struck back from the penalty spot through Kamara after a foul by Ander Herrera. Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa received his marching orders for two bookable offences minutes later. Marcus Rashford was rewarded for his fine efforts all game in injury time, powering home a drive from the left edge of the box in at the near post. That is United's biggest win all season and a boost for José Mourinho, whilst the result underlines just how much work Claudio Ranier has to do to save Fulham.

Cardiff recorded a crucial 1-0 victory over Southampton in Ralph Hasenhuttl's first game in charge of the Saints.

The home side has the best opportunities of the first half but failed to provide the necessary cutting edge to beat Alex McCarthy and his shaky defence. Just when it seemed like Southampton were navigating their way into the tie, they fell behind. Jannik Vestergaard was caught-out in possession by Callum Paterson, who made no mistake in punishing the Dane for his sloppy play. In spite of holding 63% possession, Southampton managed just one shot on target and will need to dramatically improve if they hope to survive in the top flight. Cardiff meanwhile have climbed three points clear of the drop zone thanks to their resolute home performances in recent months.

Depleted by injuries, West Ham United got production from unlikely sources to seal all three points versus Crystal Palace in a 3-2 victory.

Without their Talisman Marko Arnautovic, West Ham United turned to an unlikely partnership of Lucas Perez and Chicharito to lead the line. Crystal Palace would draw first blood with James McArthur scoring in his second straight game but this one was all Hammers. Prior to the half, Robert Snodgrass would open his account for West Ham in an impressive way curling his shot past Wayne Hennessey. Coming out of the half, the entry of Andy Carroll for Lucas Perez changed everything for West Ham. West Ham got their next two in quick succession with Chicharito scoring a poachers goal in the 62nd minute and Anderson being given way too much space to shoot in the 65th minute. But the game wasn’t over there. Jeffery Schlupp, who came on for an injured Patrick van Aanholt, would fire a header past Lukasz Fabianski in the 76th minute. At the end of the day, its three more points for West Ham and Snodgrass and Anderson are truly establishing themselves as FPL assets.

Liverpool shoot to the top of the table with Manchester City yet to play, with a vintage performance from Mo Salah, whose hat trick would steer the Reds to a dominant 0-4 win over AFC Bournemouth.

The best ever PL start for the Reds continues, adding another three points in convincing fashion. The first half was heady, with both sides trading blows and playing a lively, physical game. But Liverpool were fortunate, when Salah opened the scoring putting back the rebound of a Roberto Firmino shot, though he should have been ruled offside. The second half was a one-sided affair, with Salah scoring three minutes in, with Firmino again the supplier. The points were secured when Andrew Robertson whipped in a cross that was directed in for an own goal. Salah then capped things off with his 10th goal of the season, taking a ball over the top from Adam Lallana and dancing his way past the keeper and a pair of defenders to punctuate a perfect day.
