Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas is back in full first team training after sitting out a few months with injury.

The injury-plagued set piece specialist has endured a torrid stop-start few years, but he seems to have come through his latest injury (a knee problem) well. Stanislas trained throughout the international break, and even came first in a maximal test with his teammates according to his manger who is "pleased" with his progress. GW5 will come too soon for the player, but he will be back soon, probably fighting his way into contention off the bench.

For the second weekend running, an injury to a Tottenham player has dominated the headlines.

Due the enforced absence of Messrs Kane (injury) and Son (Asian Cup) many gambled on Dele Alli to fill Spurs’ goal scoring shoes and everything looked to be going to plan after he headed his side back on level terms at Fulham. However, his day ended badly, and there concerns he could be missing for several weeks. "I think we all see that during the action he suffered an injury in his left hamstring, but now we need to assess him, [I] hope it's not a big issue," Pochettino said. Alli has been struggling off/on all season, a carryover from the World Cup, with this latest setback being his fourth of the campaign. Having missed most of September and October, Dele then tweaked his thigh at Goodison Park before Christmas although his omission from the squad on Boxing Day was more of a precautionary measure. With limited options, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could be in line for his first Premier League start in GW24.

Concerns are beginning to grow that Hector Bellerin will miss the remainder of the season after suffering what looks to be a very serious injury.

The Arsenal full-back was making his first start in over a month against Chelsea on Saturday having recently recovered from a calf strain, but the full-back only lasted until the 72nd minute before being stretchered off. Slow-motion cameras appeared to show his knee giving way, a non-contact injury which may indicate damage to the anterior cruciate ligament or a possible patellar tendon rupture. Post-match a worried Unai Emery provided a brief update. "We are going to wait until tomorrow. It is his knee and the first prediction maybe can be an important injury. Tomorrow we will speak with the doctor. I hope not, but it is not very positive, our first impression." Tests will continue with Bellerin scheduled for a scan on Monday, however, he could be required to go for another MRI if those results prove inconclusive due to swelling within the joint which can affect image quality.

Tottenham did not make it look pretty, but were able to score on the final touch of the game with a goal from Harry Winks to edge Fulham, 1-2.

It's never too surprising for a man named Harry to save the day for Spurs, but instead of the injured Kane, it was Winks who provided the heroics. Fulham were pesky all evening and took an early lead courtesy of a Fernando Llorente own goal. The Spanish striker would struggle as Kane's replacement, missing a couple of big chances in front of goal. Tottenham would finally level the score six minutes into the second half, when Christian Eriksen supplied his typical accurate ball into the area for Dele Alli to head home. Bad news would hit late, when Alli was injured and left Spurs a man short as he was receiving treatment. With seconds left in stoppage time, Spurs made one final push and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou crossed one in from the left to find Winks for the diving header. The club escaped happily with three points but the match certainly shed light on the need for Daniel Levy to do some transfer shopping.

Ryan Babel was put straight into the starting XI but his debut for Fulham was spoiled as Tottenham would score on the final kick of the game in a 1-2 loss.

Everything was setting up for a special day at Craven Cottage. The crowd was vocal, Babel showed some flash when on the ball and Fulham would go ahead first on 17 minutes. Jean Michael Seri sent a corner into the area and the Cottagers were the recipients of an own goal by Fernando Llorente. It was as good a first half as one could have hoped for Claudio Ranieri, but the intensity began to wane in the second half, and Spurs would get an equalizer in the 51st minute. Ryan Sessegnon, who made way for Babel in the XI, came on as an impact sub, but there was no impact to be had. Thinking a draw was imminent perhaps a moment too soon, Fulham's day was ruined by conceding a last-second winner.

After a rocky patch, Manchester City makes it four wins on the bounce after beating Huddersfield to the tune of a 3-0 scoreline.

Playing their first match without David Wagner at the helm, Huddersfield came in and gave everything that they had. Unfortunately, when you're at the bottom of the league, everything you have can't hold up versus City. Danilo would open the scoring in the 18th minute but overall, Huddersfield was able to hold City in check in the first half due to an organized defensive plan. But as they do, after the half, City came out and quickly put this one to bed. Leroy Sane would set up Raheem Sterling in the 54th minutes only to have Sergio Aguero set him up in the 56th minute. Huddersfield would have their chances once Steve Mounie was brought on but he skied the best chance wide of the net with his final touch of the match. City will march on, waiting for Liverpool to slip up, while Huddersfield with count their days until relegation.

The Blues dominated possession against Arsenal but could only muster a single shot on target and no goals. The Gunners are no pushovers at home but if the Blues want to stay in the top four then they will need to get Gonzalo Higuain, or a similarity talented forward, into the fold ASAP to give Eden Hazard the foil he needs to return to the wide role he is most effective in.

Crystal Palace will feel hard done by to not come away with at least a point after scoring three goals against Liverpool.

Crystal Palace got off to a great start with the opening goal in the 34th minute when Wilfried Zaha blew by his defender and found Andros Townsend for the easy goal. But Liverpool pulled two back immediately after the halftime break and took the lead before James Tomkins' header in the 65th minute saw the sides even at two goals apiece. But that's when Liverpool pulled away with a second goal from Mohamed Salah and a stoppage-time goal from Sadio Mane that proved to be the difference after Max Meyer also scored a late stoppage-time goal.

Manchester United were made to work for their 2-1 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The World Cup winner won the spot-kick by drawing a foul from left-back Gaetan Bong and place his penalty to the right at waist-height beyond the diving Button. United doubled their lead just before the interval through Marcus Rashford, who beat Pascal Gross with a nice piece of skill in the box before placing the ball high into the far top-corner. Pascal Gross brought the visitors back into the game with a finish with hit the crossbar on its way in. The Seagulls gathered momentum and put a lot of pressure on United but the Red Devils held on to maintain OGS' perfect record since taking charge.

From the unlikeliest of sources, Newcastle saw its five-match winless streak come to an end in a 3-0 win over Cardiff City.

The action started in the 24th minute when Fabian Schar found the ball at his feet from just outside the penalty area. The Swiss center-back dribbled into the box with ease and put away his first ever Premier League goal to give the Magpies a home lead. It turned into a day to remember for the summer signing when Schar scored his second goal of the game when a flick-on off a corner fell right to him at the back post as Schar knocked it in with his thigh. And then in the 93rd, Newcastle added a third goal for its highest output of the season when Salomon Rondon juked his defender and found Ayoze Perez for the final goal, bringing the club out of the relegation zone.
