Jese Rodriguez is back in the Stoke City squad ahead of their Week 27 match-up with Brighton at the Bet365 Stadium.

There is almost zero chance that Jese starts this week after his long layoff. He wasn't starting or playing much when he went on leave to help care for his prematurely born son. Reports indicate that his son is progressing well so the hope would be that Jese will return to Stoke City refocused after a trying period that likely contributed to his lackluster form after a spectacular debut against Arsenal.

Adama Traore sat out the Week 1 draw with Everton but will be available to participate as Nuno Espirito Santo sees fit in Week 2 against Leicester City.

The recent arrival from Middlesbrough wasn't ready to take part in Wolves' return to the Premier League last weekend but will be ready to participate this time around. It will be fascinating to see who he displaces as Diogo Jota, Raul Jiminez, and Helder Costa are all strong options. Costa seems the most likely to give way since both players typically play on the right side of a three-man attack. Costa does have some versatility, though, and Espirito Santo could elect to move him to the left at the expense of Jota.

Leander Dendoncker is still not ready to make his Wolves debut after arriving on deadline day.

The Belgian center back/holding midfielder is not yet ready to take part for Wolves according to Nuno Espirito Santo in his press conference ahead of the club's Week 2 match at the King Power Stadium. Not much was provided by way of detail on his progress toward featuring with his new side so it isn't clear whether Dendoncker will participate as soon as Week 3 or whether we will have to wait a while to see him.

Harry Arter is likely to make his Cardiff City debut against Newcastle United this Saturday after being ineligible to play against his parent club Bournemouth in Week 1.

The Bluebirds need an injection going forward if they have any hope of surviving the drop. Yes, it is early to make season-long predictions but a quick look at the squad reveals a decided lack of goals even at the Championship level, let alone the Premier League. Harry Arter is certainly not a star but every little bit of Premier League experience will help the cause.

José Mourinho is bidding to sweep a summer of turmoil and negative messages from Paul Pogba under the carpet, claiming that he "couldn't be happier" with the World Cup winner.

The 25 year-old's relationship with his manager has never seemed right, with Pogba hinting at his dissatisfaction at the club in the wake of the 2-1 win over Leicester last Friday. Mourinho said: "He's playing well, he does for the fans, he does for the team and that's what I want. I cannot demand more from him, I cannot ask more from him." That's why Mou gave him a surprise start on Friday and the captain's armband. He will lead United out at the AMEX in GW2 too. It's clear that all is not well at Old Trafford, but if Pogba can keep performing in spite of the clouds surrounding him, then it will be a huge aid to Man Utd's cause.

Romelu Lukaku is in with a chance of starting for Man Utd on Sunday afternoon after coming off the bench in the season opener at Old Trafford last Friday.

Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia are all back in training following rest and injuries, though none of the trio will be ready to take to the field this weekend. Paul Pogba will captain the side again in Valencia's absence.

Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia is back in training after overcoming a calf injury sustained in preseason.

However, Valencia will not feature for United in Gameweek 2 against Brighton at the AMEX. Paul Pogba will captain United again in the Ecuadorian's absence, with Matteo Darmian presumably deputising at right-back again for the Red Devils. Valencia could regain his place in the starting XI in GW3. Incidentally, José Mourinho has confirmed that Darmian will not be leaving the club this summer. United left the door open for a move, but ultimately the player is staying put. Mourinho expressed his satisfaction at retaining the Italian's services.

Brighton captain Bruno Saltor will miss Sunday's visit of Manchester United to the AMEX owing to a hamstring injury suffered in the 2-0 loss to Watford in GW1.

However, Chris Hughton has confirmed that the injury is nowhere near as bad as was initially feared. He may return to training before GW3. Florin Andone and Jose Izquierdo are also close to a recovery but will not be ready in time for Sunday. Summer signing Martin Montoya should make his debut for the Seagulls at right-back against the Red Devils. After a very disappointing first game of the season, it wouldn't be a shock to see Yves Bissouma and Alireza Jahanbakhsh, both summer signings who debuted off the bench in GW1, make the starting 11 too.

Southampton's summer signing Mohamed Elyounoussi is unlikely to feature for the club at Goodison Park this weekend.

After coming off the bench in the 0-0 draw with Burnley on the opening day of the season, he felt a tightness in his hamstring. The niggle may be enough to rule him out. Fellow new-arrival Stuart Armstrong has received better news after limping off at St. Mary's with Mark Hughes declaring that "he looks OK and has trained today so [Hughes] don’t anticipate [Armstrong] missing out."

After missing a penalty against Cardiff in Gameweek 1, Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson is adamant that he won't be afraid to take one next time the Cherries earn one.

Many Fantasy Football managers may have presumed that the Englishman would be stripped of penalty duties after Etheridge denied him, but Wilson's language seems to suggest that he hopes to remain in situ as Bournemouth's main man for spot-kicks. He told the Daily Echo: "I will be putting up my hand and will be the first one there. I never shy away. The sort of person I am, I love scoring goals and making sure I can affect things. I am a confident person so there is no way I will be stepping back next time."

Manchester City confirmed that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will miss the next three months due to a knee injury.

The Belgian international suffered an LCL injury in training this week and initial fears suggested a long-term injury. But tests with club-associated doctors in Barcelona this week confirmed that De Bruyne won't need surgery and will seek a return in December, if not earlier. Manager Pep Guardiola will have to choose between a combination of Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva, and Riyad Mahrez who could move into more of a CAM role. Said Guardiola: "The doctor said he would be out for three months. Hopefully, in that time, he can do as well as possible so that when he comes back, he can help us again...It’s not easy to replace Kevin but we are going to do our best...Kevin needs to rest and get the holiday that he didn’t get over the summer. We have players. We will see."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that midfielder David Silva has returned to full team training.

The Spanish playmaker missed the Community Shield and the opening-week win against Arsenal due to a niggling leg injury. But after training over the course of the last week, Silva is pushing for his season debut this weekend against Huddersfield Town. The veteran midfielder will surely be needed in the upcoming months following a serious injury to Kevin De Bruyne. Said Guardiola: "He trained in the last two or three training sessions. Last week, he was not fit – he had a problem in his leg – but he trained well in last two or three days."
