Check out this week's installment of Waiver Wired for some surprising pick up suggestions.

 Sidney Crosby-C-PenguinsJan. 5 - 1:00 pm et
Sidney Crosby's frustrations boiled over Saturday when he jumped Florida's Brett McLean.
It was only the second fight of the superstar's career, but it wasn't much of a tilt as McLean didn't throw any punches. The Kid has only one assist in the past three games and the Penguins continue to struggle this season. Rumors have emerged that suggested Crosby isn't pleased with his choice of linemates. When Crosby has struggled in the past, he's broken out, usually in a big way, so look for that game some time this week.

 Petr Prucha-W-RangersJan. 5 - 12:50 pm et
Petr Prucha has finally been rewarded for his solid play with a spot on a line with Chris Drury.
Prucha has been a healthy scratch so many times this season that you wouldn't have been out of line to have thought the youngster retired. But after clawing his way back into the lineup, Prucha has scored twice over the past two games. Nigel Dawes will flank the other wing.

 Henrik Lundqvist-G-RangersJan. 5 - 12:47 pm et
Henrik Lundqvist will return to the net Monday against the Penguins.
Lundqvist missed Saturday's tilt against the Capitals because of a stomach ailment. He is healthy again and should resume his stellar play. Consider it just a blip on the radar.

 Carey Price-G-CanadiensJan. 5 - 12:28 pm et
Carey Price may return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
The Canadiens need their starter back as number two, Jaroslav Halak, has struggled in his absence. The original plan was to have Price backup Halak Wednesday, but the coaching staff will meet with the trainers and Price to see if he can play. He has been sidelined the past week with a groin tweak. More will be known shortly.

 Bryan Little-C-ThrashersJan. 5 - 11:42 am et

 Derek Joslin-D-SharksJan. 5 - 9:17 am et
Sharks coach Todd McLellan was impressed by Derek Joslin.
Joslin was called up to the NHL to fill in for Doug Murray, who was sidelined with a lower body injury. However, with Murray likely to play on Tuesday, the Sharks don't plan on sending Joslin back down to the minors just yet. "He brought a little life and energy to the team," Murray said.

 Doug Murray-D-SharksJan. 5 - 9:14 am et
Doug Murray will probably play in San Jose's game against Calgary on Tuesday.
Murray has been sidelined for two games due to a lower body injury. However, he had an encouraging practice with the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. "He skated very well today and he said he felt real comfortable," coach Todd McLellan said after the practice.
