Aho and Teravainen lead Canes

Monday, November 20, 2017

Alex Ovechkin leads the NHL in power play shots on goal with 36 which translates to around 135-140 this season. That would have placed him around the 200 mark in all of last season for all types of shots on goal. Ovechkin shoots the puck whenever he gets the chance.

The rest of the top ten this season to date are: Evgeny Malkin (29), Max Pacioretty (27), Tyler Seguin (26), Drew Doughty (24), Vladimir Tarasenko (24), James van Riemsdyk (24), Jack Eichel (23), John Tavares (23), Phil Kessel (23) and Mike Hoffman(23).

The category used to be populated by defensemen but as you can see, only Doughty is in the top-ten.
