Dropping off: Yoenis Cespedes (35th), Jesse Winker (76th), Bradley Zimmer (96th), Franchy Cordero (109th), Tyler Naquin (120th), Anthony Alford (122nd), Matt Joyce (136th), Leury Garcia (137th)

  • I don’t want to abandon ship on Matt Kemp, but it does make me nervous just how many options the Dodgers have right now. If he keeps playing, he’ll probably be a top-30 outfielder. But I think they have at least three better choices against right-handers.

  • It still sounds like Eloy Jimenez is likely to get the call, though I’m not sure what the White Sox are waiting for at this point. The 21-year-old is hitting .376/.425/.679 in Triple-A, and it’s not like there’s anything blocking him in the majors. I remain cautiously optimistic that he’ll have some mixed-league value over the final month and a half.

  • It looked like the Cardinals intended to give Tyler O’Neill (groin) a real shot in right field when Dexter Fowler (foot) went down, but since he almost immediately joined Fowler on the DL, Jose Martinez has been playing right, which is something I thought the Cardinals should have tried a couple of months ago. If Martinez can just avoid embarrassing himself out there, he’s probably a better overall option than O’Neill. I intended to drop him out of the top 60 here before O’Neill got hurt, but he comes in at No. 45 for now.
