Welcome to Playing the Tips!

Each week we will share our fantasy selections for the PGA TOUR and/or European Tour.

These lineups will be entered into a large-entry Guaranteed Prize Pool. That means we need to take a risk or two, in order to separate ourselves from the field.

The idea is to provide you a list of names to consider. I would not recommend copying these teams, golfer for golfer. Duplicate teams are no fun and don't help anyone.

Dave Tindall's DraftKings Picks:

Jason Scrivener ($10,300): Aussie has progressive form of 23-16-3 and owns three top 20s at Royal Pines. Happy to have him leading a balanced line-up rather than paying top whack for Leishman and relying on weak links.

Wade Ormsby ($8,900): Solid current form and feast or famine course form (9-MC-MC-2). Strong performer on home soil generally so get him onside.

Renato Paratore ($8,100): Helped Italy to T6 in last week’s World Cup of Golf so nicely acclimatized. Runner-up in July’s European Open and looks close to throwing in a big one again.

Gavin Green ($7,600): Young Malaysian talent comfortably retained his European Tour card after a fine rookie season and can bank some early points for 2019 here.

Scott Hend ($7,400): Aussie bounced back to form with T9 in Hong Kong last week and likes Royal Pines (T10 and T14 in two starts there).

Jordan Zunic ($7,600): Worth scrolling all the way to the bottom if you’re looking at an alphabetical list as there you’ll find a course horse in Zunic. Runner-up last year, T9 in 2015 and a winner of the Queensland Open earlier this month.

Matt Cooper's DraftKings Picks:

Sean Crocker ($9,400): As discussed in the preview his form over the last year, his top ten here last year and 76-66 last week in Hong Kong offer plenty of promise.

Dimitrios Papadatos
($9,
100): Has a course top ten, a Challenge Tour win this year and was second last time out at the Australian Open.

Wade Ormsby
($8,
900): Put up a solid defense of the Hong Kong Open last week and now tees it up on a track he has finished T2 and T9 on.

Andrew Johnston
($8,
400): I've opted for a solid bank of six rather than pick Leishman or Smith. I've also overlooked Otaegui despite initial optimism. On reflection I'm giving Johnston a go instead based on Cameron Smith's description of the linkslike greens. Beef might be better suited.

Jordan Zunic
($7,
100): Twice in the top ten on the course, winner of the Queensland Open and struck a 65 in the Australian Open.

David Boote ($6,
400): My one left field pick. Boote plays out of Walton Heath and won't be fazed by the swales on the greens when scrambling.

Josh Culp's DraftKings Picks:

Cameron Smith ($11,500) – Going to break the bank with the defending champ. I think he's a great fit, he's playing solid lately, and well acclimated to his home time zone as he's been here for weeks now.

Ricardo Gouveia ($7,700) – One of my initial week-to-week targets back when DK first added Euro Tour. He was so consistent back then and he's flashing that again with three straight top 20s.

Gavin Green ($7,600) – Finding some comfort on the Euro Tour, I think he's ready to finally make that next leap in his career. Has a top 10 as recent as four starts ago.

Adam Bland ($7,100) – The Aussie finished third here last year so I will go back to the well as I'm in need of a salary saver.

Jarryd Felton ($7,300) – He's 2-for-2 at Royal Pines. He has two wins on the Australasia Tour.

Jake McLeod ($8,800) – The Queenslander is riding a wave of momentum as he enters with a WIN and SOLO THIRD in his last two starts. It's a bit step up in competition level this week but he's proven he can hang with the big boys, posting a T11 here last year.
