As fantasy players, you need to pick more than just top-tier drivers. Anthony Ballantoni suggests some options for the Dodge Challenger 500 in Darlington, South Carolina.

 Matt Crafton-ThorSport Racing-NCTSMay. 17 - 4:54 pm et
Matt Crafton wins the North Carolina Lottery 200, his first victory in 178 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races.
Crafton’s 177-race winless streak is the longest ever in the NCTS. Ryan Reffner held the previous mark of 111 races before his first win ((1996-2000). This is Crafton’s third top-10 finish in 2008 and his first in six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.(NASCAR PR)
 Kevin Harvick-Richard Childress RacingMay. 17 - 4:48 pm et
Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 245, a new race car for the 2008 season that Harvick tested at the 1.5-mile oval May 5-6, in Saturday night's All-Star race.
In seven NASCAR Sprint All-Star Races, Harvick has earned one win, two top-five and four top-10 finishes. Additionally, the Bakersfield, Calif., native has earned a 6.6 starting average and 11.3 finishing average. The 11-time Cup Series winner won his first non-points race in last year’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Harvick was able to jump to the lead as the final 20-lap segment began and crossed the finish line 0.141 seconds ahead of Jimmie Johnson.(Richard Childress Racing PR)
 Ken Schrader-Richard Childress RacingMay. 17 - 4:43 pm et
Veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Ken Schrader will attempt to qualify Richard Childress Racing’s No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet for the May 24 Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Schrader, 57, of Fenton, Mo, made his Cup Series debut in 1984 and ran his first full Cup Series season in 1985. After 20 full seasons in NASCAR’s premier division, the veteran racer has tallied one win, six top-five and 13 top-10 finishes in 44 starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. (Richard Childress Racing PR)
 Elliott Sadler-Gillett Evernham MotorsportsMay. 17 - 4:39 pm et
Elliott Sadler hopes posting the fastest time in Cup testing this month translates into a strong performance in Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Showdown and propels them in to the All-Star Race in Charlotte.
With 21 drivers currently locked into the All-Star Race, Sadler needs to race his way in by finishing first or second in the Showdown; or garnering the most fan votes for drivers not already eligible for the non-points spectacle. In his five previous All-Star Races 2001 - 2005, Sadler’s best finish was second in 2005. Best start was fourth place, that same year. Last year, Sadler started 24th and finished 23rd in the Showdown after getting caught up in a three-car accident on lap 20.(Gillett Evernham PR)
 Kyle Busch-Joe Gibbs RacingMay. 17 - 4:36 pm et
Kyle Busch continued his dominance on Friday night at Lowe’s Motor Speedway by clinching the pole for this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
Busch was the final driver to take to the track in the qualifying session, placing his M&M’S Toyota atop the leader board with a time of 121.956 seconds. Busch will lead his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates to the green flag for the first segment in tomorrow night’s race, which awards the winner a prize of $1 million. Teammates Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart will start near the rear of the 24-car field.(JGR PR)
 Jimmie Johnson-Rick Hendrick/Jeff GordonMay. 14 - 8:45 pm et
In six All-Star Race starts, Jimmie Johnson has collected five top-five finishes, including two victories (2003, 2006).
Johnson heads to Lowe’s Motor Speedway vying for his third All-Star Race win. Saturday night’s non-points event will be the seventh of his career. If Team Lowe’s Racing finds victory lane, Johnson would tie teammate Jeff Gordon and the late Dale Earnhardt for number of all-star wins.(Hendrick Motorsports PR)
 Jeff Burton-Richard Childress RacingMay. 14 - 8:39 pm et
In 15 full seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series, Jeff Burton has competed in the NASCAR All-Star Race 10 times, posting his best finish of fourth in 1998 and 2007.
Burton has two top-five and five top-10 finishes in the NASCAR All-Star Race. He became eligible to compete in this year’s NASCAR All-Star Race when he won at Texas in April 2007. The South Boston, Va., native followed up that victory with a win at Bristol Motor Speedway earlier this year. Burton won the 2003 Open, claiming the final transfer position for The All-Star event where he went on to finish ninth.(RCR PR)
